Welcome to the first-ever Advisorator Extra. I'm using this format to experiment with sending additional emails beyond the main biweekly newsletter, with a focus on quick tips and tutorials. As always, I'd love to hear your feedback on this or any other aspect of Advisorator, which you can send by replying to this email.
Before I swore allegiance to Mozilla Firefox, my web browser of choice was Vivaldi. It's based on the same browsing engine as Google Chrome--and therefore supports all the same extensions--but it adds a lot of features that power users might like. For instance, you can arrange multiple tabs into "stacks" within a single window, quickly open web pages in a sidebar view, and add favorite sites to a "speed dial" on the home page.
Today, Vivaldi is launching a mobile version on Android, which had always been one of the browser's biggest missing pieces. While it doesn't have all the same perks as the desktop version--there are no tab stacks or sidebar pages, for instance--it does offer some of its own neat features: By pressing the "V" button next to the address bar, you can duplicate the current tab, capture a screenshot of the entire page you're looking at, and view a list of recent tabs (including ones you just closed). Most importantly, Vivaldi's mobile app can finally sync your bookmarks and history with the desktop version, just like any other modern browser.
If you're prone to web browser tab overload, or you just like experimenting with different browsers, I suggest giving Vivaldi a try. I even put together a short YouTube video so you can see some of the desktop features in action.
